Although organizations nationwide have been working for decades to prevent child abuse and provide outreach and educational resources, the sad reality is that abuse still continues today among the most vulnerable members in our communities.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 1 in 7 children experience abuse or neglect in the U.S. Statistics show that 1 in 10 children will be sexually abused before the age of 18, and more than 90% of those children will know and trust their abusers. Additionally, children with disabilities are 3.4 times more likely to be abused.
