As a children’s advocacy center we provide a coordinated, evidence-based response to child abuse that reduces trauma and provides treatment for the children and families in our community in a safe child-focused environment.
KPCAC is currently hiring for the following positions:
Forensic Interviewer/Therapist
KPCAC is currently seeking a dual position of forensic interviewer and therapist for our Berkeley campus. Forensic interviews are conducted when there has been a report to law enforcement or the Department of Social Services that the child may have been a victim of abuse or neglect. A forensic interview is a neutral, fact-finding interview for the purpose of gaining information from a child in a non-leading and non-suggestive manner. KPCAC provides a myriad of evidence based treatment services based on the needs of the child and their family.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working in the child abuse field and/or within the multidisciplinary team
- Prior training regarding evidence based treatment modalities
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Experience working with a variety of ages
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Counseling or related field
- SC License Eligible
- Professional

Intake Coordinator
Kay Phillips Child Advocacy Center, a Nationally Accredited Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) in Summerville & Moncks Corner, SC is currently looking for an Intake Coordinator. The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree. The ideal candidate would have experience working in a CAC or related field. The Kay Phillips Child Advocacy Center provides a coordinated, evidence-based response to child abuse that reduces trauma and provides treatment for children and families in our community in a safe child-focused environment. The Intake Coordinator is responsible for receiving referrals for Forensic Interviews and Forensic Medicals and scheduling these appointments. This position requires that the applicant can provide crisis management to families, triage referrals, provide psycho-education on the dynamics of child abuse, and to work collaboratively with investigative agencies such as law enforcement and DSS.
